Man Hopes to Introduce Custom Stamps to MRT Stations, Inspired by Taiwan

A Singaporean man has gained widespread attention after sharing his creative idea to create custom stamps for each MRT station in Singapore, inspired by a similar initiative he saw during a trip to Taiwan. After seeing train station stamps in Taipei in 2022, he decided to bring the idea to Singapore, combining his research on local history with artistic skills to carve stamps representing significant buildings and features related to each MRT station.

The viral video of his project has sparked excitement online, with many Singaporeans praising the idea. Some have suggested turning it into a collectible experience, such as offering special notebooks for tourists and residents alike. The man also hopes to collaborate with the Land Transport Authority (LTA) under their Gift of Art programme to make the stamps a permanent fixture in MRT stations and involve the community in designing unique stamps for their local stations.
