Company Advances Environmental and Social Initiatives with Significant Achievements
Sai Life Sciences, a leading Indian Contract Research, Development, and Manufacturing Organization (CRDMO), has released its Sustainability Report for 2023-2024. The report, which follows the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) Universal Standards 2021 framework, highlights the company’s commitment to sustainability with the theme “Synergising Sustainability, Performance, and Growth.” CEO Krishna Kanumuri announced that renewable energy now accounts for over 50% of the company’s total energy consumption, and the company has further enhanced its decarbonisation efforts, significantly reducing greenhouse gas emissions. Sai Life Sciences also continues to make strides in its Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), focusing on environmental, social, and governance (ESG) targets set for 2027. Key achievements include surpassing the goal of providing education and livelihood opportunities to over 8,000 individuals from underprivileged communities and a steady increase in female workforce participation, now at 14.3%.
