Aston Villa continued their remarkable home form with a resounding 4-1 victory over West Ham United, extending their winning streak at Villa Park to 11 matches. The result sees Villa move into fifth place in the Premier League, just two points behind leaders Manchester City.

The match, held on Sunday, 22 October 2023, saw Villa take control early with a first-half goal from Douglas Luiz in the 30th minute. West Ham fought back after the break, with Jarrod Bowen pulling one back for the visitors in the 56th minute. However, Villa quickly responded with another penalty from Luiz in the 52nd minute, followed by a spectacular strike from Ollie Watkins in the 74th minute. Leon Bailey sealed the win with a superb fourth goal in the 89th minute, assisted by Youri Tielemans.

Villa’s attack looked dangerous throughout, with Watkins and Bailey in particularly fine form, while their defense held firm against West Ham’s occasional threats.
