Barcelona’s Dominant Clasico Victory Ends Real Madrid’s Unbeaten Run

A 3-0 win at the Bernabéu puts Barcelona six points clear of Real Madrid, with their unbeaten streak in La Liga coming to a halt.

In a thrilling and historic Clasico, Barcelona handed Real Madrid a 3-0 defeat, ending their remarkable 42-match unbeaten run in La Liga, just one short of Barcelona’s record of 43 games set in the 2017-2018 season. The result also extends Barcelona’s lead at the top of the table to six points, with a significant boost in goal difference.

Though not their biggest win at the Bernabéu (they won 5-0 in 1974), the victory was nonetheless a comprehensive one. Barcelona created several chances, and despite missed opportunities from Robert Lewandowski and Raphinha, they capitalized on Real’s defensive lapses. Kylian Mbappé had a few chances for Real, but Barcelona’s offside trap and goalkeeper Iñaki Peña’s brilliant performance kept him at bay.

With just 11 games played, Barcelona’s dominance in La Liga is becoming increasingly clear, and their prospects in the Champions League look promising. This Clasico victory sent a strong message that they could be tough to beat this season.
