Christopher Wins Best Leading Actor in a Miniseries, Adding to His Accolades
At the Golden Bell Awards on October 19, 2024, Christopher Lee emerged as the winner of Best Leading Actor in a Miniseries or Television Film, defeating his younger brother Frederick. Christopher’s award was for his portrayal of indigenous Amis public defender Tong Bao-ju in the legal drama Port of Lies (2023), marking his fourth Golden Bell win. His previous awards include Best Leading Actor in 2014 for A Good Wife (2013), Best Leading Actor in 2021 for Workers (2020), and Best Supporting Actor in 2022 for Danger Zone (2021).
Frederick, nominated for his role in Night Blindness (2023) as a conservator with nyctalopia, sat beside Christopher at the event. When Christopher was announced as the winner, Frederick stood to congratulate him, even guiding him to the stage. Christopher expressed his gratitude towards his team, wife Fann Wong, and their son Zed, for their support, allowing him to focus on his career.
Fann shared a heartfelt Instagram post celebrating the win, capturing the moment with Zed in front of the TV. She wrote, “How are you so great?” showing her admiration for her husband’s success.
