Two Men Hospitalized After Accident on October 15, 2024

On the night of October 15, 2024, a car accident occurred near Hougang Avenue 9, resulting in two men being rushed to the hospital. According to authorities, the driver of a white car, a 59-year-old male, allegedly lost control of the vehicle and collided with a taxi and a lamp post outside the Hougang Neighborhood Police Centre at around 9:30 PM.

A 53-year-old male taxi driver was also involved in the crash. A local resident, 60-year-old Chen Meixiu, reported hearing a loud crash from her home and witnessing the aftermath of the accident. She saw the white car’s front severely damaged after crashing into a lamp post, while the taxi’s front tire was nearly detached.

Three ambulances responded to the scene, and one individual was seen lying on the ground. Another witness mentioned that the white car was moving against traffic at the time of the collision.
