Iswaran Surrenders at State Courts as Media Surrounds His Arrival

Former Transport Minister S. Iswaran reported to the State Courts on October 7 to begin serving his 12-month jail sentence. Arriving around 3:30 pm, he made his way to State Court 4A to surrender himself before the 4 pm deadline. Surrounded by media, Iswaran appeared with his lawyers, although his immediate family members were noticeably absent. His decision not to appeal the sentence has brought the legal proceedings to a close for now.
