Despite a penalty miss from Mahrez, City’s comeback keeps them in control of the Premier League title race.
Manchester City staged a dramatic comeback to earn a 2-2 draw against West Ham United, though they may regret Riyad Mahrez’s penalty miss in the 86th minute. Trailing 2-0 at half-time after goals from Jarrod Bowen, City responded after the break, with an own goal from Vladimir Coufal in the 69th minute and a Jack Grealish strike in the 49th minute pulling them level. Despite the penalty miss, City now only need a win at home to Aston Villa next Sunday to secure the Premier League title, regardless of Liverpool’s results.
