Qatari Restrictions Force Royal Air Maroc to Ground Flights for Fans
Royal Air Maroc has cancelled seven flights scheduled to transport Moroccan fans to Doha for the World Cup semi-final between Morocco and France, citing new restrictions imposed by Qatari authorities.
The airline, which had initially planned 30 additional flights to accommodate fans, had to scale back its operations, leaving many ticket-holding passengers stranded. A source from a RAM travel agency confirmed that only 14 flights had been organized, with the cancellations affecting fans eager to witness the historic match.
Royal Air Maroc issued an apology, noting that the cancellations were a direct result of decisions made by Qatar’s authorities, frustrating supporters hoping to attend the highly anticipated game.
