Accident Involving Taxis and Cars Causes Major Traffic Disruptions Near Changi Airport

On October 3, a serious multi-car crash occurred on the East Coast Parkway (ECP) heading towards Changi Airport, resulting in four people being rushed to Raffles Hospital. The Singapore Civil Defence Force responded to the scene at around 5:20 PM, following reports of the collision, which took place just after the Fort Road exit.

According to the Land Transport Authority, the accident led to significant traffic delays stretching from before the Tanjong Katong Road exit to the Fort Road exit, with motorists advised to avoid the first two lanes. Social media videos showed a chaotic aftermath, with three taxis and five cars involved in the crash. Among the footage, a red taxi can be seen with its front bumper and hood badly crushed, while a black car behind it also showed extensive damage to its hood.
