Online Outcry Over “Big” Breakfast Meal That Doesn’t Look Big Enough

Fast-food breakfast box disappoints customers with its underwhelming serving size, sparking humorous reactions online.

A recent “Big Breakfast” order from a fast-food chain in Singapore has left online users amused and unimpressed after a customer posted a photo of the meal, which appeared to underwhelm both in size and presentation. The image showed a modest portion of two buns stacked on top of each other, a slab of sausage, and a serving of scrambled eggs, all sitting in a box that appeared much larger than the food itself.

The customer, sharing their thoughts on a local forum, humorously remarked, “At least shrink the box so it doesn’t look this sad,” capturing the sentiment of many who felt the meal failed to live up to expectations. Commenters quickly filled the post with their own reactions, with some noting how the “deconstructed” look of the breakfast made it seem even smaller than it was.

One user compared the current serving style to past versions of the meal, where scrambled eggs were placed more generously, giving the appearance of a fuller box. “Big Breakfast is always like that. In the past, before the paper box, the scrambled egg wasn’t stacked on top of the sausage patty, so visually it looked more filled,” one commenter pointed out.

The online reactions highlight how expectations around fast-food portion sizes and presentation can significantly impact consumer satisfaction.
