Pro-Palestinian Group Temporarily Hacks Israeli Army Website, Warns of Further Attacks

Anonymous Jo, claiming to be of Jordanian origin, demands the “liberation of Palestine” and threatens continued cyberattacks on Israeli forces.

On Wednesday, a pro-Palestinian group, identifying themselves as Anonymous Jo, temporarily hacked into the Israeli army’s website, leaving a message on its homepage. The group issued a warning about future attacks against Israeli forces, calling attention to what it described as the Israeli military’s “arrogance and injustice” toward Palestinians in Gaza. The message went on to state that this would result in “terror, killing, and war” through various means, including land, air, and cyber warfare. The group also called for the “liberation of Palestine.”

While little is known about Anonymous Jo, it has suggested it is of Jordanian origin. The message included a line saying, “From your brothers in Jordan to our people in Gaza and Palestine,” reflecting Jordan’s large Palestinian population and the nation’s general sympathy for the Palestinian cause.

The hack comes amid escalating tensions in the region and growing calls for solidarity with Palestinians, particularly from countries bordering the occupied territories
