Ukrainian President calls on Western leaders to impose more sanctions as Russia’s actions come under heavy scrutiny.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy addressed the United Nations, emphasizing that the current moment is “crucial” for Western nations to intensify sanctions against Russia. He demanded that Russia be held accountable for war crimes, following reports of atrocities such as mass civilian deaths in Bucha. Satellite images contradict Russian claims, revealing corpses left on the streets for days. Zelenskiy, along with world leaders, condemned Russia’s actions, calling them a deliberate campaign of terror. Meanwhile, the EU plans to propose fresh sanctions, including a ban on Russian coal, while continuing to investigate the alleged war crimes committed by Russian forces.
